Increased blood sugar levels may decrease benefits of aerobic exercise

Aerobic fitness plays an essential role in achieving better overall health. However, a condition called hyperglycemia, where a person has higher-than-normal blood sugar levels can dampen the benefits of aerobic exercises. Through mouse models and people with chronic hyperglycemia within the ‘pre-diabetes’ range, these effects were observed.
